Glycopyrrolate (0.2mg)
Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection is used before surgery to reduce secretions of saliva in mouth, throat and airways, acid in stomach; to reduce side effects of muscle-relaxing drugs and to prevent of slowing of heart beat during surgery. It is also used to reduce the drooling of saliva in patients (3-16 years of age) with cerebral palsy (a permanent movement disorder occurring in early childhood).

Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection is an anticholinergic medication. It works by blocking the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) in the brain. This helps dry up secretions (saliva, stomach acid etc.) from glands before surgery, increases a low heart rate and reverses the unwanted effects of certain medicines used during surgery (muscle relaxants and anaesthetics). By lowering stomach acid content, it also helps treat peptic ulcers.

Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Long-term use of Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection might reduce milk production.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection may affect vision and coordination. This may affect your driving ability.
Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Pyrolate 0.2 mg Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
