How to use Rosuless-5 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rosuless 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Medicine Works

Rosuless 5 Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).

• Rosuless 5 Tablet treats high cholesterol by lowering "bad" cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats). It should be taken in addition to regular exercise and low-fat diet.
• It also reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.
• In general, Rosuless 5 Tablet is safe. It may cause diarrhea, gas or an upset stomach. If any of these happen to you, take it with food.

Yes, Rosuless can be taken with grapefruit juice. As per the reports, using grapefruit juice with Rosuless does not change the working of Rosuless. There have not been any reports of any harmful effects of using them together.

Q. Why should Rosuless be taken at night?

Rosuless acts by blocking an enzyme which is important for cholesterol synthesis in our body. The activity of this enzyme is more at night time. Therefore, it is advisable to take Rosuless in the evening hours after a meal or just before going to bed to have maximum effect. However, Rosuless being a longer acting statin can be taken at any time of day.

Rosuless should not be taken with calcium supplements as calcium can decrease its absorption, and hence lower the levels of Rosuless in the blood.
