Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pravator 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Pravator 10 mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Pravator 10 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Pravator 10 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Pravator 10 mg Tablet normally does not impair your ability to drive but may cause dizziness, drowsiness or double vision which may affect your ability to drive.
Pravator 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Pravator 10 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Pravator 10 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
