Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sotalar 40 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid Sotalar 40 Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
Sotalar 40 Tablet is an anti-arrhythmic medication. It regulates heart beat by blocking abnormal electrical signals in the heart.
Related Warnings
Taking Sotalol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Sotalar 40 Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Sotalar 40 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Sotalar 40 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Sotalar 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sotalar 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sotalar 40 Tablet is not recommended in patients with serious kidney disease.
Sotalar 40 Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Sotalar 40 Tablet is recommended.
