Dixin 0.25 mg Injection is a cardiac glycoside. It works by correcting irregular heartbeat to a normal rhythm and increases the force with which the heart muscle contracts with every heartbeat. This makes the heart pump more efficiently and increases blood circulation throughout the body.

Dixin 0.25 mg Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Dixin 0.25 mg Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Dixin 0.25 mg Injection may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.

Dixin 0.25 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Dixin 0.25 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of kidney function tests, potassium, magnesium and calcium levels is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Dixin 0.25 mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Dixin 0.25 mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
