Acef-O Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefixime and Ofloxacin. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of the bacteria in the human body. Ofloxacin works by preventing the bacteria from reproducing and repairing themselves. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Acef-O Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Acef-O Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Acef-O Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
