Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cefixime and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
It is not known whether Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Reneguard 200mg/125mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
