Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Methimez 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Methimez 10 Tablet is an anti-thyroid medication. It works by reducing the amount of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland.

Methimez 10 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Methimez 10 Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
The American Thyroid Association also recommends monitoring babies for appropriate growth and development during routine pediatric check-ups.
Methimez 10 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Methimez 10 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Methimez 10 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Methimez 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Methimez 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
