Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tidocol 400 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Tidocol 400 mg Tablet is an aminosalicylate. It works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding and painful symptoms, and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.

Tidocol 400 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tidocol 400 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
If you are taking Tidocol 400 mg Tablet, monitor the baby for diarrhea.
Tidocol 400 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Tidocol 400 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tidocol 400 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tidocol 400 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
