Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it 1 hour before or 2 hour after taking food.
Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER is a combination of two antibiotics: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Dicloxacillin. These antibiotics work by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Dose adjustment is not recommended in patients with mild and moderate kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Zedocef Dxl 200 Tablet ER in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
