Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed. Tocef CV Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tocef CV Drop is a combination of two medicines: Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Clavulanic Acid. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefpodoxime Proxetil against bacteria.

Tocef CV Drop is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Tocef CV Drop is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Tocef CV Drop may cause side effects such as allergic reactions, dizziness or fits that may make you unfit to drive.
Tocef CV Drop should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tocef CV Drop may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Tocef CV Drop in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
