If you miss any doses, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, increased heart rate, and high blood pressure. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own in some time. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you. This medicine causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.Before taking Attera 25mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any problems with your kidneys, heart, liver, or have a history of seizures (epilepsy or fits). In general, you can expect to see a positive change during the first month of taking Attera 25mg Tablet. After the first month of taking the medication, your dose might be raised if you are not benefitting enough from it.
Nausea is a common side-effect of this medicine. Eat smaller, more frequent meals to reduce the feeling of nausea. Also, avoid food that is salty, spicy, fried, or fatty.
Get medical help right away if you get suicidal thoughts, chest pain or if you experience severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, or yellowing of your skin or eyes.
Avoid taking any other anti-depressant along with Attera 25mg Tablet without consulting your doctor. This is because the combination may cause side-effects like shaking (tremor), shivering, muscle stiffness, fever, rapid pulse, rapid breathing or confusion.
No Attera 25mg Tablet should only be used in children 6 years and older.
This medicine is usually taken one or two times a day (early morning and late afternoon/early evening). If you find that you are sleepy during the day talk to your doctor about the best time to take your medicine.
