Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is used in the treatment of oedema and high blood pressure. It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.

Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.

Taking Furosemide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is recommended.
However, use of Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml is not recommended in severe kidney disease patients who are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines. Please inform your doctor.
Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lasix 20 mg Injection 2ml may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
