Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Etosid 50 mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Etosid 50 mg Capsule is an anti-cancer medication. It works by suppressing the activity of an enzyme (topoisomerase II) involved in DNA multiplication of the cancer cells. This slows the growth of cancer cells and eventually kills them.

Etosid 50 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Etosid 50 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
Etosid 50 mg Capsule does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Etosid 50 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Etosid 50 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Etosid 50 mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with end-stage kidney disease.
Etosid 50 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Etosid 50 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Etosid 50 mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
