How Losartan+Atenolol+Hydrochlorothiazide works
This is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, atenolol and hydrochlorothiazide which lower blood pressure effectively. Losartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to relax blood vessels, while atenolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
