How Benzthiazide+Triamterene works

This is a combination of two diuretics: Benzthiazide and triamterene which reduce edema (swelling). They work by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, benzthiazide also relaxes blood vessels but causes potassium loss. Triamterene is added as it conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body.
