How Mesna works

Mesna helps to reduce the risk of inflammation and bleeding in the bladder, who receive ifosfamide (a medicine used to treat cancer).

Side Effects

Nausea, Headache, Lightheadedness, Lethargy, Abdominal pain, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Diarrhoea, Rash, Fever, Flu-like symptoms

Usage

Mesna is used to prevent ifosfamide-induced hemorrhagic cystitis
It is not for use to reduce the risk of blood in the urine due to other medical conditions.
