Mixbiotic-AC Ear Drop is a combination of five medicines: Lidocaine/Lignocaine, Acetic acid, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole and Ofloxacin which treat ear infections. Lidocaine/Lignocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Acetic acid is an antiseptic. Beclometasone is a steroid medicine which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves.
