Alerta D Tablet may be taken with or without food. The dose may vary depending on what you are taking it for. Take it as it has been prescribed by your doctor. If you stop taking it earlier than advised, your symptoms may come back. This medicine is generally very safe.You may experience dizziness and sleepiness after taking the medicine. Alerta D Tablet works by blocking the release of a naturally occurring substance in our body known as histamine, that is responsible for producing symptoms of allergies such as runny nose, sneezing and red or watery eyes.
If you have missed a dose of Alerta D Tablet, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, take it in the regular schedule instead of taking the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
Alerta D Tablet is effective if used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking it even if you see improvement in your condition. If you stop using Alerta D Tablet too early, the symptoms may return or worsen.
