How to use Respidil Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Respidil Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Medicine Works

Respidil Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Diphenhydramine and Menthol which relieve cough. Ammonium Chloride and Sodium Citrate help in the removal of mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.
