Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER is to be taken with food.
Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Chlorthalidone. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Taking Chlorthalidone with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER is not recommended in these patients.

Use of Revelol-CH 50/6.25 Tablet ER is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
