Roxid 100 mg Syrup is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

Roxid 100 mg Syrup is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Roxid 100 mg Syrup is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Roxid 100 mg Syrup may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Roxid 100 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Roxid 100 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
