Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tolol H 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tolol H 50mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Metoprolol Succinate and Hydrochlorothiazide. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Tolol H 50mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tolol H 50mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Tolol H 50mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Tolol H 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tolol H 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tolol H 50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
