Usage of Sudin-D Syrup

Sudin D Syrup is used in the treatment of dry cough.

How to use Sudin-D Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Sudin D Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.

How Medicine Works

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine.

Sudin D Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Sudin D Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Sudin D Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Larger doses or prolonged use of Sudin D Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby

Sudin D Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Sudin D Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Sudin D Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
