Recarb 25 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Recarb 25 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Recarb 25 mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It inhibits an enzyme that helps in conversion of carbohydrates to glucose. This slows down carbohydrate digestion/absorption thereby preventing increase in blood glucose after meals.
Related Warnings
Taking acarbose with alcohol may affect blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.
Recarb 25 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Recarb 25 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Recarb 25 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Recarb 25 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Recarb 25 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Recarb 25 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
