Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is to be taken with food.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Monitor the baby for unusual bruising or bleeding, jaundice and other signs of liver damage.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Valpex 300 mg Tablet CR is not recommended in patients with the severe liver disease.
