Nortriptyline (25mg)
Primox 25 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression. It is used in patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Primox 25 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Primox 25 mg Tablet increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Primox 25 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Primox 25 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Primox 25 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
As Primox 25 mg Tablet may affect your alertness which may affect your ability to drive.
Primox 25 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Primox 25 mg Tablet is recommended.
Primox 25 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Primox 25 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine. Use of Primox 25 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
