Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pantolet D Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.
Pantolet D Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Related Warnings
Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Pantolet D Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Pantolet D Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Pantolet D Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Pantolet D Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pantolet D Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Pantolet D Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Pantolet D Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
