Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telekast-T Tablet CR is to be taken empty stomach.
Take this medicine 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. You can take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Avoid Telekast-T Tablet CR with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.
Telekast-T Tablet CR is a combination of two medicines: Montelukast and theophylline which prevent future attacks of asthma. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist which blocks the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies. Theophylline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways.

Telekast-T Tablet CR may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Telekast-T Tablet CR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Telekast-T Tablet CR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Telekast-T Tablet CR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Telekast-T Tablet CR is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Telekast-T Tablet CR is recommended.
Telekast-T Tablet CR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telekast-T Tablet CR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
