Avoid Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet is recommended.
Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Seloken XL 100 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
