Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Pep ON Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Pep ON Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Choline and Cyproheptadine. Choline is a bile acid binding agent. It removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result, the levels of cholesterol in the body is lowered. Cyproheptadine works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.

Pep ON Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pep ON Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Pep ON Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Unless Pep ON Syrup is used to lower the prolactin levels in the mother, it should be avoided as it might interfere with breastfeeding.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Pep ON Syrup may cause dizziness, sedation, and hypotension in elderly patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
Pep ON Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Pep ON Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
