Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Potrate 5 Tablet ER is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
If mother is taking Potrate 5 Tablet ER observe the baby for diarrhea and check the blood potassium concentrations periodically.
Potrate 5 Tablet ER does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Potrate 5 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Potrate 5 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Potrate 5 Tablet ER may not be advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Potrate 5 Tablet ER in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
