Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
Tuxiril Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, which relieves dry cough. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which helps reduce cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger, histamine. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant which relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.

Tuxiril Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Tuxiril Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tuxiril Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Tuxiril Syrup may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Tuxiril Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tuxiril Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Tuxiril Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
