Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vomer O Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take it preferably 30 minutes before food.
Vomer O Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ondansetron and Omeprazole. Ondansetron is an antiemetic (anti-nausea medicine). It inhibits the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
Related Warnings
Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Vomer O Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Vomer O Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Vomer O Tablet may cause dizziness and visual disturbances. This may affect your driving ability.
Vomer O Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Vomer O Tablet is recommended.
Vomer O Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vomer O Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
A lower dose may be advised in patients with liver disease and who have to take this medicine for a long time.
