Medicort 16 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of severe allergic reactions, allergic conditions, asthma, rheumatic disorder, skin disorders, eye disorders and nephrotic syndrome.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Medicort 16 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Avoid Medicort 16 mg Tablet with dietary sodium.
Medicort 16 mg Tablet is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies.

Medicort 16 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Medicort 16 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Undesirable effects, such as dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances and fatigue are possible after treatment with Medicort 16 mg Tablet. This may affect your driving ability.
Medicort 16 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Medicort 16 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
There is limited information available on the use of Medicort 16 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
