Simplovir 1.5 mg Gel is an antiviral medication which treats viral infections of the skin. It works by preventing the multiplication of virus in the skin cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your skin infection.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Simplovir 1.5 mg Gel is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
