Paraxin 1 gm Injection is an antibiotic which stops the growth of bacteria. It does so by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. This does not directly kill the bacteria, but prevents them from increasing in numbers, and eventually clears up the infection.

Paraxin 1 gm Injection may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Paraxin 1 gm Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Paraxin 1 gm Injection is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Paraxin 1 gm Injection may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Paraxin 1 gm Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Paraxin 1 gm Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Paraxin 1 gm Injection in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
