How Medicine Works

Salivate MF Ointment is a combination of five medicines: Betamethasone, Lactic Acid Bacillus Rhamnosus, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Lactate and Urea which treat eczema and psoriasis. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. The other medicines are keratolytic medicines which break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells and soften the skin. They also enhance the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.
