This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops is a combination of two medicines: Phenylephrine and Tropicamide. Phenylephrine is a decongestant while Tropicamide is an anticholinergic. They work by making the pupil of your eye larger and relax the muscles in your eye. This allows proper examination of the inside of your eye.

Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Some people find the bright light (such as daylight) uncomfortable for a few hours after receiving Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops which may affect your ability to drive.
