Torasemide (10mg)
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of oedema and high blood pressure. It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Torvigress 10 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.

Taking Torsamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Torvigress 10 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of Torvigress 10 mg Tablet should be avoided in case you are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines.
Torvigress 10 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Torvigress 10 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
