Usage of Eptus 25 Tablet

Eptus 25 Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.

How to use Eptus 25 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eptus 25 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Medicine Works

Eptus 25 Tablet is a potassium-sparing diuretic. It lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing the extra water and electrolytes from the body without loss of potassium.

Related Warnings

Taking Eplerenone with alcohol may lead to headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, changes in pulse or heart rate and/or low blood pressure.

Eptus 25 Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Eptus 25 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

  • Eptus 25 Tablet helps remove fluid from your body when used with other drugs.
  • It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Eptus 25 Tablet affects you.
  • It may increase the level of potassium in your blood. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
  • Your doctor will regularly check your kidney function and the amount of potassium in your blood while you are on this medicine.
  • Notify your doctor if you experience dizziness, diarrhea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, swelling in feet, or difficulty breathing.
