Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of chest pain (angina).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).

Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease.
Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Sorbitrate 6.4 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
