Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR is an antibiotic. It works by killing the bacteria in the urine that causes infection.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR.
Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, who are unable to pass urine or have high creatinine levels.
Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Nitrofem 100 mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
