Otoid Ear Drop is to be used only in the affected ear in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not use more or for a longer duration than the doctor has prescribed.This medicine is generally safe to use and has minimal side effects. However, if you experience any side effects such as rashes and irritation. If you experience any other symptoms after using the medicine, consult your doctor.If this medicine goes into the eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse it off with plenty of water immediately. Otoid Ear Drop is a combination of four medicines: Paradichlorobenzene, Chlorbutol, Turpentine Oil and Lidocaine. Paradichlorobenzene works by softening and assisting the removal of hardened ear wax. Chlorbutol is a preservative. Turpentine Oil causes warmth and redness which can help relieve pain in the ear. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases sensation of pain.
