Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, heart failure and chest pain (angina).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is an alpha and beta blocker. It works by slowing down the heart rate and relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

Taking Carvedilol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.
Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Carvalol 12.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
