Altec 200 mg Suspension is an antiparasitic medication. It works by keeping the worms from absorbing sugar (glucose), thereby depleting their energy level. This causes the worms to die and treats your infection.

Altec 200 mg Suspension is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Altec 200 mg Suspension may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Altec 200 mg Suspension is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Altec 200 mg Suspension may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Altec 200 mg Suspension should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Altec 200 mg Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop signs of jaundice like yellowing of eyes and skin, itching, and clay colored stools while taking this medicine.
