Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Baby should be monitored for excessive sleepiness and weight gain.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR may make you feel sleepy or dizzy, or may cause blurred vision, lack of muscle coordination, especially when starting treatment or increasing the dose. This may affect your driving ability.
Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tzetol 300 mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Dose adjustment is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
