Cilamet XL 50 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cilnidipine and metoprolol which lower blood pressure effectively. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker which works by relaxing blood vessels while metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate. Together, they make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Cilamet XL 50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
