Migon Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Propranolol and Flunarizine, which prevents migraine. Propranolol is a beta blocker and Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. They work by stabilizing the reactive nerve cells and increasing the threshold to migraine activation. They also inhibit cortical spreading depression (CSD- electric waves that move across the brain and cause pain and inflammation).

Do not stop taking this medicine until advised by your doctor as it may cause your migraine episodes to return. This medicine contains propranolol and a sudden withdrawal of propranolol may cause sweating, shaking, irregular or fast heartbeat, worsening of underlying angina or heart attack. You must take Migon Plus Tablet exactly as advised by your doctor.
No, Migon Plus Tablet does not help in relieving a migraine headache that has already started. It can only be used for preventing any new episode of migraine headaches.
