Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Paramet Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Paramet Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoclopramide and Paracetamol/Acetaminophen. Metoclopramide is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraine. Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever associated with migraine.

Taking Metoclopramide+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Paramet Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Paramet Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Paramet Tablet may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive.
Paramet Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Paramet Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Paramet Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Paramet Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
